Overview

PrayAir calculates Islamic prayer times for airline passengers during flight. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

PrayAir does not require user accounts or registration. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising services of any kind.

Information We Collect

Flight Search Data

When you search for prayer times, you provide:

• Airline name and flight number
• Flight date
• Your device's timezone (automatically detected, used for display purposes)

This information is used solely to calculate prayer times for your flight and is not stored in any database.

SimBrief Flight Plans

If you upload a SimBrief flight plan, the XML file is processed in memory to extract waypoints. The file is not stored on our servers after processing.

Support Messages

If you use the support form, you provide your name, email address, subject, and message so we can respond to your request. Support submissions are sent by email and are not stored in a PrayAir database.

Automatically Collected Information

• Your IP address is sent to Cloudflare Turnstile for CAPTCHA verification (web only) and may be recorded in server logs.
• Your language preference is stored in a cookie (valid for 30 days) and in a server-side session.
• A session cookie is used to maintain your session while browsing. It expires when you close your browser.

Mobile App

Data Stored on Your Device

The PrayAir mobile app stores the following data locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers:

• App preferences (theme, language)
• Recent flight searches
• Cached prayer time results (for offline access)
• Notification schedules for prayer reminders

Calendar Access

If you choose to add prayer times to your device calendar, the app requests calendar permission. Prayer events are written directly to your device calendar and are not sent to our servers.

Device Attestation

The mobile app uses Google Play Integrity (Android) and cryptographic challenge verification (iOS) to verify that requests come from genuine app installations. Attestation tokens are ephemeral and are not stored.

To calculate prayer times, we may query the following third-party flight data providers:

Cookies

PrayAir uses only functional cookies:

• A language preference cookie (expires after 30 days)
• A session cookie is used to maintain your session while browsing. It expires when you close your browser.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.

Data Retention

PrayAir does not maintain a user database. No personal information is persistently stored on our servers. Flight API response caches contain only flight data (not user data) and are automatically refreshed.

Support form submissions are delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox. PrayAir does not store them in an application database or separate analytics system.

Server logs may temporarily contain IP addresses and flight query details for debugging purposes.

Children's Privacy

PrayAir does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The service does not require registration or collect identifying information from any user.

Your Rights

Since PrayAir does not maintain user accounts or a user database, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete on our servers. To remove locally stored data:

• Web: Clear your browser cookies for this site.
• Mobile: Clear the app data or uninstall the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
